We, the team at NORLA (Norwegian Literature Abroad), are delighted to be responsible for Norway’s Guest of Honour appearance at the Bologna Childern’s Bookfair 2026.
We look forward to presenting the full breadth of Norwegian literature for children and young people in Bologna.
NORLA promotes the export of Norwegian literature through active promotional work and grants for translations. The organization disseminates knowledge about Norwegian books and authors abroad and is funded by the Ministry of Culture.
Founded in 1978, NORLA has since 2004 alone contributed to the translation of more than 8,700 Norwegian books into a total of 76 languages.
NORLA offers a range of funding programs, all aimed at supporting the translation of Norwegian books.
