Hilde Hodnefjeld

About Hilde Hodnefjeld
Hilde Hodnefjeld is a Norwegian illustrator and picture book author. She has published several of her own children’s books and illustrated for a number of other authors.
She sometimes travels all over Norway with DKS (Den kulturelle skolesekken / The Cultural Schoolbag) where she meets many children and reads and tells them about the books she makes.
The drawing style is naive and imaginative, and the illustrations often have many subtle details, sometimes with elements of collage. She combines traditional with digital drawing techniques, but the finished expression almost always has a handmade feel to it.
