About Magnhild Winsnes

Magnhild Winsnes is an illustrator, and animator. She has worked as art director on the animated feature Hocus Pocus Alfie Atkins and was the lead animator on Moulton & Me, which was nominated for an Oscar in 2015. In 2018, she debuted as an author with the graphic novel Shh, which received critical acclaim and several literary awards. Winsnes also illustrated The Girls’ Book (2019) and The Boys’ Book (2021). Her latest work is the picture book Hey! Let´s go to the Kindergarten! (2025). She combines storytelling techniques from film with visual expression in her books.
